I want to make my VX doors removable for four wheeling. Has anybody done this mod? If so, how did you rig the wiring. Anybody have a recomendation on how to rig a quick disconnect for the door wiring?

You could pick up a set of WeatherPak connectors at an auto parts store, then just splice them in. They are pretty thin (if you get the right ones) and shouldn't interfere with the door closing.

I was thinking more of some door jam contacts. Any ideas?

That's a good idea, you could probably get some out of a junkyard vehicle. Then you could assign the pins whichever way works best for you.

Good tip. I didnt remember that. Its been a good two years since i had that panel off.
