Make sure the lens is clean. You shouldn't need to scuff it.

Use it on a low humidity day and spray light, full coverage (shiny, not flat-looking) coats. Shake can periodically. I don't remember the time in between coats, but don't go with too many/too heavy(runs/bubbles) or light transmission will be seriously degraded. The key is to use just enough to achieve a blackout effect.

DON'T do all your coats on one lens, then start the next. Lay them out close enough to eachother to avoid overspray contamination and spray a coat on one, then the other, to assure uniform coloring.

    Repeat as needed.

Personally, I'm using the gts c/f covers front and rear. They give a blackout look and have very good light transmission. No problems at night and no traffic stops.

Not only that, but you don't ever have to worry about tint removal or buying a spare set of unaltered lenses.
