Hey guys got an email this morning about the VW Concept T. They may be putting it in the VW lineup soon.
This is one wild looking machine.

Any pics? I'm a big VW buff.

WOW!!! I'd get that crazy VW!!! They shoudl call it the VW Thing II!
That would be awesome if it made it into production! But only if they kept the numbers really, really low. Every time I see a new vehicle I like, the next thing I know there's one every 5 minutes around the corner. You get spoiled with the VX getting those looks and near whiplash gawking, especially for a vehicle that's been out for over 6 years.
Over 20 years of Isuzu enjoyment...
A LOT will change on it though. One thing in particular is those wheel wells. They will never pass any state inspection so they will have to refine them down to shell the tires in more.
More bastardization of a cool design. It will end up looking like a Honda Civic in teh end, hahaha. Tis a shame.
Oh, and remember.... it's a VW. They have a knack for trowing $60k pricetags on their NICE cars.

I was thinking it looks more like a modern reincarnation of the Meyers Minx! Wonder if he will get any royalties?
I'm still kind of partial to that twin engine, turn on a dime Jeep concept.

I've had it bad for that thing for a long time now. That is the one and only thing out there that would make me consider losing the VX. Now if it would just be built Isuzu tough too.
Follow the link and view the video clip in the gallery to check it out on the dunes... SWEET!

I agree with you. I would trade my VX for one of these things too. It has to be one of the cooolest vehicles out there.
I emailed VW last week about the "T" snd they haven't ruled it out for being in the production lineup soon.
All I can say, is where do I send my deposit.
Yeah, the RSC is pretty cool too. Don't get me wrong, but I think it's just a little bit too busy design-wise and needs cleaner lines. It's a little... chunky? It looks like they just took someone else's car and tossed on some fenders and other fake body kit stuff with double-sided tape. But it's definitely an inspired look and a move in the right direction. I don't really know anything, but my feeling is that Toyota is way less committed to it and far less likely to bring an unadulterated version of theirs to market, and if they do it won't bring much new to the table besides some cool sheet metal. The VW is a bit more groundbreaking in terms of its design and I just love the gullwing doors and the way the wheels, headlights, and taillights look kinda like they float. It's more exotic-looking whereas the RSC has a bit of a Mad Max thing going on. If I had both, I'd make the Toyota the daily driver and keep the VW absolutely pristine.
The RSC is in desperate need of a pair of fangs. That catfish mouth is HUGE.
My only issue is that it's a Vdub. Little pieces-parts begin jumping ship on the way home from the dealer. Sure the engine runs forever, but the damn thing probably has like twenty fragile ball joints in it. If your Jetta has 30000 on it, you know what I'm sayin'. Why use two, when four will do. I ain't hatin, my daughter just traded the A4 for a R32 a while back...freakin' awesome car. I just hate being the one to glue all those pieces- parts back together. And you're right, it owes a bunch to the Meyers Manx and twenty Barris cars.
