    Angry Tire Issues

Just came back from the shop after waiting three hours for them to try and put on new tires. I wanted them to put on Cooper Zeon XST 255/55/18. Well, they could not get the tires inflate. They said the stillfness of the sidewall and the design of the inner lip would not allow a seal.

Anyone ever have this happen with the stock rims?

I just installed Dunlop SP 5000 255/55 HR 18 on the stock rims with no problems.

    Yes - same issue here.
    .
I had Mastercraft Courser HTR Plus - 255-55-18 - installed. I believe the Mastercraft tires are manufactured by Cooper. The Courser HTR Plus also has a 'beefy' sidewall with a raised portion to protect the wheel.
    .
They had difficulty getting the tire to seat properly on the wheel. They used 'tire lube' on the tire and were forced to use a much more psi (75 or higher) to get the tire to seat on the wheel.

I guess I will stay away from them as well.

They were using over 100 psi and still could not get it on. They were afraid of damaging the wheel (or one of the workers).

I run 255/55/18 Yokahama AVs. Discount Tire had had no problems getting them on.
