    Unhappy Stratospherically Thick Headliner

I noticed a while back some of you were pulling out your headliners and installing Dynamat for acoustic reasons as you wanted your kilowatt sound systems to sound as perfect as possible.

Afterwards did you replace the the stock headliners?

Whom amongst you has replaced the headliner?
Are there any other benifits to Dynamat? It looks like a Space Blanket. Will it help insulate against the insane heat of the AZ desert?

I ask because when I was replacing my dome light, I noticed that the headliner is like, a MILE thick and I want more headroom.

Im interested in more headroom because... Well I just want more headroom.
Will there be room to wear my helmet?

Also, who has an inside roll bar? Has anyone installed a full roll cage? A roll bar covered with leather (like a Saleen Mustang) would be so cool!

As for the telepaths, I have learned to recognize them and
ignore them. The worst thing you can do is block them and
make them mad, When it gets to be too much, I put my
fingers in my ears and sing, "FLINTSTONES, MEET THE
    FLINTSTONES."

No, I do not believe that Dynomat would have any temperature insulating value. Original Dyno mat is rubber with adhesive backing. Extreme Dynomat is tar with an aluminum foil cover. In the heat the tar will quish out and make a mess. Also don't ever plan on removing it.

I lived in Phoenix for 20 years and after seeing what the summer heat does to the tar on the road I would not want it on the ceiling above me.

If you really want heat insulation I would recomend getting a white VX or using regular insulation.

In my opinion Dynomat only reduces rattles.
