I was under the impression that these units were no longer available.
They are no longer being offered, but perhaps someone on the board has one to sell...

I have the PV and the sound is nice to me, however, everyone has thier own opinion. Some thought it was too loud and others thought it was awesome.

I have one PV1 left for $175 - not sure if sound clip is still there - PV2s were too loud, even for me....

I'm in the market also for a new muffler. I've been thinking about the Morgan Tec or the PV 1. I want a BEEFY sounding muffler. Is there anyone who has heard both of them and care to give me their opinion?
I've heard both the clips for both mufflers but I don't think the clips did any justice to either of them.
Thanks and Peace.

Tone, I'll take the PV1 if still available. $175 include shipping? How ya want the money?
Paypal would be great - this PV1 has 3" in and outlets so install requires a little more work but I am running one now w/o issue.
I'm planning on removing my PV2 after a year's use. Tone is correct- it's just too loud for me (even after a year of carbon buildup that did quiet it down quite a bit from the original install).
If there are any takers I'll have the muffler shop save it.

George,
One solution to your PV being too loud, that may save you $ome jing.
Supertrapp offers a 12 disc exhaust tip insert that dramatically reduces db level.
I had a Borla installed this spring & it was WAY louder than I had expected.(It sounded like the grain truck I learned to drive in when the muffler fell off...but that's another story)
Anyway, I found a Supertpapp insert at Summit racing & installed that.(part #SUP-344-3004, $59.88) It's diameter was perfect to slide into the stock tip, with some persuasion from Mr.Hammer.
I've done extensive drilling to increase flow, to the discs as well as the tip, with no noticable increase in noise.
As you can see from the pics, It's a little long, but I'm planning to fix that soon.
My two cents, Ldub

Doesn't that kinda defeat the purpose of going with a PVx muffler? Seems like those three tiny little holes would severely constrict airflow.
WJ,
In that pic it would seem so...I am having trouble uploading pic showing side view. In any case, exhaust gas also exits through the spaces between the discs (more discs, more flow/less discs, more back pressure)
Also, I'm offering this as a more economical/easier solution than the cost of a whole new muffler/install. As ventilated as mine is, I don't know if it is much more restrictive than a quieter muffler, but it works for me. YIKES!, I never noticed how grody my exhaust was until I saw the pics.YUK!

Thanks Ldub- I have to come up with something. The noise level in the cabin distorts the music from Sirius. No point in paying for satellite radio if the sound sucks

I hated my PV... removed it and sold it the day after I put it on.
