    Grand Raid Offroad

Cool new game coming out for the Xbox360 and PC...

Let's keep our fingers crossed for an appearance of the VehiCROSS... I just emailed them about them putting in the coolest SUV in to their title.

Grand Raid Offroad is Asobi Studio's original racing project for PC and next-generation gaming systems. Deep in the wilds of the outback, the best rally drivers compete on some of the most beautiful and longest tracks in the world. Races are dangerous, and just reaching the finish line in one piece is a victory. In this game, choose from 30 vehicles to traverse over 10,000 square kilometers (3500 square miles) of open racing landscape for the race to the finish line.

    Looks GREAT!

Ha cool, just got a email back from them...

    Hi Dave,

Personally I love SUVs and your car (and it's specs) looks simply fantastic! We'd love to put an Isuzu VehiCROSS into our game. Everything will depend on the kind of publishing agreement we get with a publisher (we're currently actively looking for a publishing deal). But clearly our goal is to push cool looking but also powerful and efficient 4WD cars and yours will definitely be on our wishlist.

    Best regards,
    Sebastian Wloch

I told them they can fly to the USA and use my VX for modeling and such.

Also got this email from Sebastian about the VX and the game...
Hope it makes the cut, it would make this game SO much sweeter!

    Hi David,

Thanks a lot for your support.

Everybody here likes the VehiCROSS and it is very likely that it (or some vehicule looking very much like it) will be among the compact SUVs in the game.

We currently plan to have at least 4 different categories of vehicules in Grand Raid Offroad: compact SUVs, large pickups, trucks (like the one of "Team Gauloises de Rooy"), and buggies. We've currently finished 7 vehicles (almost 2 in each category). Each category of vehicles features different advantages and disadvantages.

Also when playing online, different categories can combine in teams to boost the overall team efficiency. Each category will feature many different bases that players can customise with a variety of changeable parts (engine, shock absorbers, wheels, tank, brakes...), decorations and colors. Each part can also be upgraded in order to improve its efficiency. Possible combinations are almost infinite...
