    Compression & leak down test

I took my VX in yesterday after completing my oil consumption test (1 qt. per 500 miles) and they did a leak down and compression test on it. I was wandering if anyone knows what the compression should be on the VX. It would be interseting to know how close I am to blowing it up!

Compression is 9.1:1 -I'm not sure what each cylinder should read however (the factory service tech has this info).

Be aware, that it may not be a problem with your cylinder walls/lining or rings. Do a search for Joe Black's research on the 'oil pumping' phenomena. This details the problem many of us are having.

What I'm getting at is that you might pass a compression test, yet still be suffering oil consumption because of a clogged oil drain hole in your piston(s)' oil scraper ring land.
