    Any Linux/Samba gurus?

I hate to ask this on a VX site, but I've scoured the web and racked my brain and can't seem to figure out this problem. I'm betting we might have some Linux smart people on this site with some suggestions...

I'm trying to set up a Samba file server on a machine running Mandriva 2005 Linux. I can map to any directories I create that are located within the /home directory, but anything outside of that I get an error when I try to connect (from Windows it says something about how I don't have permission to use the resource, if that means anything). The drives I'm trying to set up as shared directories are on different physical drives than the /home directory, so I access them through /mnt/win_c2 and /mnt/win_c3.

Can anyone give me any suggestions?

If win_c2 and win_c3 are NTFS drives they are probably read-only. If you have them exported as read-write that might cause a problem. Whether that is THE problem or not, I don't know.
