It looks like it contains the same products that others have used to restore their lenses (fine grit sandpaper and a lubricant).
Slightly off the subject, but a while ago I clearcoated one of my faded headlights with automotive clear just to see what would happen. I prepped the transparent surface with 2000 grit sandpaper and cleaned it really well, and the clear adhered well and restored the lens to like-new. Two years later the AZ sun has begun to fade it a bit again, but it still looks okay. I'm guessing an auto paint shop could clear a pair of lenses pretty cheaply.
This is because by sanding it, you have removed the UV coating on the plastic. So now it will yellow twice as fast.
toothpaste
works for scratched CDs/DVD's too.

Blue Magic chrome polish does a fine job restoring the headlights.

My VX looks like a pirate right now. One headlight brand new, the other looks like it has a cataract. Simply lovely. I need to do something before winter sets in. I completely abused my VX this summer. Little to no care and ridden harder than ever. She at least got her 30k this week and runs better than ever now.
