We got 13" here in Aspen/Snowmass on Satruday night, so yesterday was a great day on the mountain until.....I hit a rock, HARD, and ended up putting a huge core shot in my NeverSummer T5 Premier. The guy at the shop said that the board is done, and I'll need to get a new one. I have a guy in Telluride that has performed miracles on boards before (including rebuilding the front of a friends carving board that got ripped off in a head on collision), so I'm going to get it to him to see if he can save my baby. If not, I'll be in the market for a new board. I'll probably stick with NS unless anyone has any really good suggestions. The NS is the most stable board I've been on. It can carve a mean turn, zip in and out of the trees, and hit mach 2 on the groomers. Best board I've ever owned, and I'll be sad if it can't be saved.
With all of that said, we're supposed to get snow all week here, so this weekend should be killer if anyone wants to head this way. If not, I have a couple of other boards that I can ride, so I would love to make a road trip to meet up for a little VX boarding.
