So...Im coming over to play
Envyyyyy...it's a good thing. Wow, it looks the exact same length as the VX; I thought they were smaller. I would have definitely picked up an Elise by now too, if I hadn't of blown up one of those Spyders five years ago, twice. The similar engine in the Spyder had a bad problem with the design of the 3 catalytic converters; they would disentigrate on the inside blocking the exhaust flow, something to look out for. It's wonderful to finally have the Elise in the states, though. I remember the first year of release here, they didn't have to meet all federal highway safety rules, but they would have to start phasing them in. Those changes starting to make it heavier?
My wife has her eye on the Sky. Saturn, the opposite of exotic, but I've told her she'd have to wait for the 253hp redline version so daddy can have some fun.

yea i thought the lotus would be wayyyyy shorter....
btw nice shot
Thx, guys! The Elise is significantly smaller than the VX. I guess it's the perspective of that shot that makes it look the same length. The OAL is 149 in., so about 14" shorter than the VX. It's also about half as tall, and the sills are so wide, you have very little room inside... probably about 12" less interior width than the VX.
I want your life.
I've got a friend with a new Elise and I cannot fit in it period.
my legs are way too long.
damn those short Brittons
2000 Black VX 105k
You must be a GIANT!! I'm 6'3" and it's pretty comfy for me (though I have only a 32" inseam). My 6'5" friend got in the passenger side with little difficulty, and I have an acquaintance who's 6'7" who says he can get in the passenger side (but no way driver's side).Originally Posted by Maugan_VX
