    Sad death of VX owner...

I'm watching the 9:00pm news here in Denver.

They did a quick report of a Man in his 50's who was driving a Foxfire here on I-25 who lost control of his VX and was thrown from the car and killed.

Community member or not, my thoughts/prayers for your family.

    Email link to news story...

Here's the news story that can be found on 9news dot com

The story states it's a "Trooper" however the scene of the accident is clearly a Foxfire: ( I hope posting this picture isn't in bad taste. If so, just let me know and I'll remove it out of respect for family/friends/community.)

A little strange feeling as I know I've seen on several ocassions an older man in a Foxfire in my travels in and around the area (I-36, I-70, I-25).

    Just terrible.

I was gonna say from the pic that it looks like the VX held up well enough, but from reading the story it seems he was ejected from the vehicle. Please, wear your seat belts, everyone!

    Unhappy Very sad...

Sorry to hear that a fellow VXer is gone. The VehiCROSS looked like it was well kept, so (even if he wasn't a member) he must have enjoyed owning one. Too bad things like this happen...
    WEAR YOUR SEATBELTS!!!

When they say ejected - do they mean through the glass of the windshield? It's gotta be almost impossible to go out through one of the passenger windows.

What exactly happened to smoosh the front down like that? Did he roll it and the picture is after someone re-righted it?

Anything is possible in accidents (being ejected from a side window), I have heard of the most bizarre things. I was in a mustang that flipped 3 times and it looked just like that, and the engine poked through the hood, flipped loosing sideways control and tail over hood.
    Ask forgiveness, not permission.

    Biju,
Thanks for alerting us. Any loss of life is sad, but I think it hits a little closer to home when it's one of you "own."
If it was someone on the site, I hope their family knows that our thoughts and prayers are with them.
