I've been around one, they're based on the Defender 90 SWB which was available here in the US until '97. LR stopped selling them here as they refused to airbag them to meet DOT requirements.

Don't know how much the Bowler is, but I'm competing in a rally in Ensenada next month and will ask some folk there. A used Defender 90 is still bringing around $20K, so a new Bowler should be about $100K.

Top gear did a test on one of the Bowler wildcats a couple of years ago.
The engine in it is virtually the same as in a TVR griffith.
Especially the sound and accelleration are awesome!
They are however pretty expensive and the mods on these cars are to numerous to list.
There are quite a few contending in the Dakar rally!
