Nice! My personal favorite was the ad they did with Joe Isuzu for the golf tourney they sponsor?
The ad showed him hitting shot after shot after shot, in the rough, on the fairway, off the water, into and out of bunkers, then finally into the cup after about 15 strokes. Then it showed him walking away from the pin marking his scorecard saying, "Birdie!"
Awesome! I'd give good money for a compilation of all the Joe Isuzu commercials. Two of my favorites were the one of him on a tropical island and the one where he was on a telephone pole intercepting calls to a Toyota dealership.
Over 20 years of Isuzu enjoyment...
didnt that tall guy with an annoying voice and glasses from The Jurassic Park movies do some commercials for Isuzu too?
'99 Vehicross - Daily Driver
'93 Wrangler - Tank in Progress
Jeff Goldblum. Yeah, I think he did the voice for the ad campaign that included one showing a kid coloring outside of the line before segueing to a woman driving a Rodeo off the highway into the desert.
YEAH! I remember that one...
A friend of mine had an Impulse turbo back in the day -I was soo jealous of his comfy (Recaro) seats and the driver's cluster that moved up and down with the steering wheel.
The Impulse was the vehicle that made me an Isuzu convert. My 1984 Impulse, purchased as an off-lease in 1986...
It gave me almost 170K trouble-free miles. And lots of speeding tickets.
LOL
Those wheels are hideous!
If by hideous you mean amazing...
Wow it's amazing how close that commercial is to the VX one racing in the desert. And those wheels ROCK!!!!! ugly but you won't find anything like that anymore.
2001 Ironman Daily Driver... 3.5" suspension lift (OME912 springs and 1" spring spacer), ball joint flip, 1.5" front diff. drop, 33"x12.5 TrXus MT, 16x10 Eagle Alloy rims, Interceptor, PV muffler, K&N air filter, Alpine Supercharger, Bilstein shocks, and some trimming.
2000 Ironman Project LS-1 VX... very slow progress but someday....... ohhhhh someday......
Loved those wheels.
I bought the car while living in Daytona Beach and the silver finish didn't hold up too well, especially since I was on the beach 4 or 5 days a week (Impulses look funny with a roof rack and short board). When I moved back to central Florida it got a repaint of Deltron Black with red pearl in the clear, same for the wheels except the black squares were also done in Fire Red. Oh, two matching Fire Red racing stripes also. Hey, it was the 80's! LOL! I'll have to find a pic and scan it...
i remember Jeff Goldblum in the isuzu commercials when he advertised one of the axioms when they first came out.
