Looks like I'm getting the intake gaskets replaced Tues. I was hoping it would wait til after christmas but you got to do what you got to do.
I've been putting it off for a long time. My mechanic tells me that it will run like a "new" one once it's done. Gas milage should go up, idiling will improve and I will get my accelration back like it's supposed to be.
Will it make that much of a difference. I watched him checked it last week and it had leaks all over the place.

What did your mechanic use to check for leaks?

Some kind of spray. When it sprayed it, it bubbled on both sides.

Glad you found the problem TC trust me your VX will run 100% better with the new gasket and if your using a CAI you will really notice the difference now.
So what did you call that thing again?
