The movie doesn't do the series justice.

Yet another great show that ran on Fox only to have Fox kill it by running episodes out of order, bouncing the timeslot around and then pre-maturely cancelling it. On the plus side, the DVDs for the series have been regularly discounted to $20 or so. Go to www.dvdtalk.com's bargains forum and search on firefly for info on bargains.

Joss Whedon is the creator of the Buffy series and Angel series. Firefly was his next series, running in 2003, that got cancelled. Serenity came out this past September.

If any of you like action/adventure/comedy then definitely give it a try. The reruns are on the Scifi network and it's great stuff. Lots of action mixed with a really dry sense of humor.

Take the scene:...while running and dodging laser blasts...
Leia: "I'd rather kiss a wookie!"
    Solo: "That can be arranged!"

and multiply it times 100, and that's Firefly.
