I could have sworn I just posted this an hour ago, but I'll post it again.

It seems that there is a potential "hack" of the factory garage door opener device - is it a small box or something that receives the signal from the OPTION press on the key fob? If so, it could be wired to Tone's popper...

OK, I guess I can just follow the white wire up to the alarm, right? I just want to investigate what kind of plugs and wires are hangin out there for hacking into. If theres a way, I will find it. I just want to have things integrated as much as possible. I'll check into it this weekend.

    THanks!

If you searched the forum, you’ll find a) that the garage door opener option was several hundred dollars b) that the option button/alarm cannnot be programmed to do anything else except duplicate the main button or talk to it.

I DID search. It can be found for $81... that's not quite as much as a good alarm system in my book.

It's a device that receives the signal and activates your garage door opener. I'd bet it could be modified to trigger the hatch popper.

The only dumb question is one that was not asked.
The door sills are the black pastic trim that run along the bottom of the door opening. They're usually a great place to run wires as well as keep carpet tucked neat.

    Unhappy

I don't know very much about re-routing posts but I did tell moncha to add it to the how-to section. I think I'll swap mod tips for computer lessons at the upcoming Atlanta/Tennessee meet. I learning little by little though

How about copy and pasting to a NEW post in the correct section - this one started out as a key fob discussion....

It could also be deleted after copying....posters can edit/delete any of their on posts....

Does anyone have the instructions? The instructions in my book say "See dealer" and my dealer said "idunno, letmegetback toyah" and of course they just don't know...

I'm sure I just have to hold down the button or something to that nature... anyone know?

My understanding is that it does NOT work directly with the garage door opener, but works with a unit that you install in your garage door opener switch circuit in the garage.
