New Compact SUV ?

VW seems to be working on a new SUV design. This one is reminiscent of a model presented at Detroit about 2-3 years ago. I read it is slotted for production in '08, despite what this article states.
What do you think?

That looks sweet, but the rear-end looks a lil porsche'ee to me. Go figure they are both German.
