Isuzu Vehicross 99-01 NGK OEM Spark Plug/Plugs Set NIB
This is one of the plugs I took out of my '99.
It's a Denso platinum #K16PR-11. I don't think that # exists anymore. I'm sure there's another Denso platinum # that replaces it just fine. I went with NGK Laser Platinum #PFR5G-11.

Yes, but what is the Denso Platinum #. He's trying to stay with the stock plug.
Oops, I forgot that parameter crossed over from the other thread...so sorry.

When I was searching for new plugs last year I looked at iridium. There's different plugs for racing applications, long life, and short life. It depends on the size of the electrode. The .7mm electrode is the one that lasts for 120,000 miles, the .4mm needs to be replaced every 30,000 miles. Last year there was no .7mm electrode Denso iridium plug available for a VX, only the .4mm short life. Maybe that has changed now. The Denso Iridium #IK16 has a .4mm electrode. The Denso or NGK platinums will last another 100,000 miles. Although plugs probably should not be left in there untouched that long.
The Denso platinum plug for our VX is now #PK16PR-11, Denso stock #3275.
Never buy plugs on eBay or anywhere without seeing the part #. Is that buy now price of $16.95 for one plug plus shipping? They're only about $10 or less each at any parts store with no shipping.

the stock ones r NGK
My VX and many others had the Denso plugs. That's why I specified "the plugs I took out of my '99". Some may have had NGK or others. Auto makers sometimes use whatever parts are available at any given time.Originally Posted by MZ-N10
mine was NGK but i didnt buy it new....so yea
I just put in 16 NGK IX Iridiums for about $7.99 ea - they should last about 40K - the OE equivalent NGK Iridium was $12 a plug and would last approximately 80K but the performance is better with the IXs.
Tone that was in the SC's vx right? One of the things i noticed while reading through the Alpine paperwork, is they say to install the new plugs but nowehere does it say what they are. Not sure how long mine have been in, but figured I'd change them soon. Been looking to start a thread on S/C plugs but looks like I wont have to now.
Check Here for DENSO IRIDIUM IK16 (5303) for less than $10.00 per plug at your door...
