Chrome looks great on the lighter colors to make it not look so bottom heavy. But on the darker colors, black wheels look awesome.

At least the VX OEM ones do. How many people have had the chrome peel off and the replacements are expensive as well. Poor quality and I do not think painting them black will help the peeling

That is the first photo of a VX that I ever saw, and it is the photo that made me NEED a VX. When I was looking into aftermarket wheels for my VX, I tried to find the OZ Chronos and apparently they are a JDM wheel that was never sold here. Good luck finding a set!! It would be awesome.

My dad hates black wheels, but I'm not a big fan of chrome, so I'm powder coating my stock 18's black. They are peeling and rusting badly!
This is the first picture I remember seeing of a VX. I thought to myself "Dang, looks good dirty, and just as capable as any Jeep. I'm getting one of those someday!"
Well the 16's on my 99 are definitely peeling.
I wound up blasting and painting my set of KMC Thunder wheels which started pitting on me. Had already replaced them on my proton with a new set of chrome 20's w/new tires. Now, the 'thunders' look pretty slick and I switch out one set for the other just for a change of pace every now and then. Kinda fun!
