    Question Fuzzy hole...

    Hey all,

Does anyone know what the fuzzy dash hole to the left of the steering wheel was actually intended for? It seems like this hole was maybe used for something specific in the Rodeo and left out in the VX? Or is there an actual specific function for this hole? I'm just curious because the hole is really weird. Its not quite big enough for sunglasses, and its not deep enough for my radio's remote...I can't fit my change dispenser into it either...its just a mystery pocket I guess.

    Thanks -Bart

PS - I was VERY tempted to compose this thread with loads of inappropriate puns, but I refrained. I guess I am growing up afterall. XD

You guys are WAAAY off... it's the perfect size for a Hotwheels VX.
Thats how the trails at Moab get their ratings...by how many times the Hotwheels VX falls out of the fuzzy hole while on that particular trail.

LDub is right. My Foxfire hotwheel has been parked there for years!

The fuzzy hole as far as I know wasnt meant for anything. Some have installed switches in it..one talented guy I know installed a small video screen for his backup camera there.

    Yea, yea...let the puns begin...

Thumbs up Let There Be Light

I keep a small LED Flashlight in the fuzzy hole. A perfect fit. Just the right place for an emergency light.

Hey Tone, I think I would like it, but could you mail me a photo of it just so I know what it looks like? ( nfp@nofuture.com )

I would like to put the tailgate mod in eventually, so this would be good. I am also going to mount some nice off road torches eventually. This would be a good spot for these switches also. How hard is it to find switches for this cover plate you have?

    Thanks - Bart

PS - I like that LED clock...but 2 clocks aren't really needed IMO, however it would be nice because with my radio you have to switch from disc mode to clock mode if you want to see the time....which can be slightly annoying.

Picture is in the thread but w/o the switches. You can have your stereo default to clock or CD.

I have 3 toggle switches in there!

    1 for daylight driving lamps.
    1 for switching the back-up camera on/off.
1 for enabeling the dvd screen from the AVIC unit whilst driving.

Hey Tone, thanks. So if I get the cover plate from you, all I need is swtiches then? What is the "CF Patterned Fuzzy Hole"? Is the just a replacment fuzzy hole?

Also, yes, my stereo (a JVC KD-DV5100) can default to stereo, but I usually like it displaying the ID3 Tag for the MP3 playing, so when I want to switch to clock, I have to hit the Display button on it...which can be annoying...because there are 4 display modes, (folder name, track time, ID3 Tag, and clock) but not TOO annoying. The JVC KD-DV5100 is a sweet player because it can read MP3s from DVD-r and I have like 40,000 MP3s and no i-POD so its really nice
