    Tech help please!

The gator( or harmonica rubber) that's located around the steering column whre it goes into the pitman housing has torn.
I think I can make a universal gator fit.
My question is: how do I take the steering column out or do I have to remove the pitman housing?

Can you split the steering column? Modern vehicles have a collapsible column -if you can find the linkage (maybe a u-joint) you should be able to pop it apart and fit in a new accordion.

Look for Isuzu body lift instructions for detailed photos -you usually have to extend the steering column when installing a body lift.

assuming the steering column is the same as my old trooper (which I don't see any reason why it shouldn't be), you can take off one (maybe two, memory is fuzzy) bolts and the steering column comes right off the Power Steering box.
