In Russia there was a number of ABS failures, if it was not related to the sensors, you probably need to find good electric guy who open the block and change or fix the wirings. I heard about 5 success stories.
2001 Isuzu VehiCROSS (build in progress): 4JX1/A340/part time, 2" body lift, front Aisin hubs, rear Aussie Locker, 4.56 gears, OEM rear sway bar disconnect, AirFlow snorkel, cabin air filter
1980 Jeep Cherokee (assembling): 1.5" body lift, TBI, HEI
    1987 AMC Eagle: stock

I will definitely look into the wiring option first. I sent an email to Ameetw and asked him how he solved his problem. He said that he had a rat or something that nibble a thick white wire near the firewall on the driver side (for american model).

I get the impression that all you vx enthousiasts in the US who don't have a mechanical background are "easy victims" of dubious workshop owners.
Therefore this forum has got to be the ultimate trouble shooters guide!
