Hello!
New owner here, (YEA!) Anyway, the dash indicator for the alarm system will not illuminate.
1. Removed light and checked power and indeed there was power, so assumed indicator light (LED?) to be defective.
2. Could not find matching indicator at parts store so went with slightily larger indicator with a removable bulb.
3. Hard-wired new bulb, but it will not light. I checked and there is indeed 12 volts surging on and off. I checked the bulb and it works on a 12-volt battery. But it will not illuminate when connected to the two wires that were feeding the dash indicator!
4. Is there such a smaller amount of amperage available at these leads that only the smallest of LEDs will work, yet still trigger my voltmeter?
5. Anyone hook in a relay to operate a greater intensity alarm indicator?
6. What am I doing wrong?
7. Seems odd.
Thanks in advance for your thoughtful input.
Rick
