    1999, 2000 or 2001 - Which model is best?

I am looking at at three different Vehicrosses.

    1999 - Silver
    2000 - Green
    2001 - Yellow

Which model is best as an everyday driver (mileage is similar for each)?

They're all pretty much the same...

The only difference being that the 00's & 01's had 18" chromed alloy rims & the 99's had 16" polished alloys.

The 00's & 01's had climate control & the 99's had manual HVAC.

    Smile My Opinion

I would go for the newer one. Also, I think the Proton seems to be the favorite color of choice. I happen to drive a Victory Ironman so there is no favortism in my last sentence.
    Peace.

The '01 Proton will probably hold its value the best, too.

I would say that an accurate maintenance history and condition would be the most important factors. Be aware of some of the common problems so you'll know what to look for (i.e. intake manifold gasket, rear rotors, windows, cv boots on lifted VXes, etc).

In general, newer with lower mileage is better, but you should be especially attentive when inspecting any vehicle that sat undriven for a long period of time.

I'm not sure that there is any consensus on which is the preferred color. I'm personally not a fan of the Proton - I like the Ebony and the Ironman the best. If you are worried about resale value, you may want to reconsider and buy a Honda Accord.

    Thanks!

I am not interested in resale value because I intend to keep the car for a long time.
