    Question Number of Surviving VXs

Based on production figures, I was wondering about how many VX's are still alive and who has the Pearl/Red one? Any thoughts? Sorry that I couldn't get the numbers to line up.

    Question

I was wondering if Moncha had a VX count in chronological order of people at this site? If he had that, he might keep records of those VXs lost early due to wrecks etc.

That would be interesting if he had it. What do you think?

    Peace.

This tread would be a LOT shorter if those who wrecked one post the production# and year!
Of course then we have to guesstimate for those owners that aren't smart enough to be a part of this board.

Yeah, and I would imagine at best maybe 50% of all VX owners in the US are on this board, and still that is probably wishful thinking. I know for sure there are at least half a dozen VXs rolling around Chicagoland that are most likely owners NOT on this board....so I think this is kind of an impossible quesion...

    Just my 2 cents-

what about checking with state DMVs? Dont they have that stuff on record?

Not that I want to take on the job, but that seems like the most likely place to see how many are left.

And of course, there have to be some that have been exported out of the US. dont know how you would estimate those.

    Thumbs up 1999 Vehicross "Newbie"

I just recently purchased a 1999 Vehicross. I fell in love with them when they first came out, and now I finally had one of my dreams come true. Any info any of you can give me, for example.... Any problems characteristic of the Vehicross. I can hear the "whine" from the front shaft... is that a normal sound? or what?

Jim, Does the whine happen all the time, or only when you coast? There are many potential reasons for this but to start make sure that your tires are inflated properly and equally. Several of us have had a strange whine due to one of the front tires being under-inflated. Im sure others can pipe in other causes. Also, use the "search" function to read up on past discussions on the subject.

I only killed 1 Ebony VX with black/gray interior (or rather, the other driver killed it). and to be honest, I have no clue what the VIN was. Only had it for 3 months before she went to the VXHomeLand.

And of course, I still have Ebony VX #2.... and probably always will.

Yeah, I'm just being a smart ***. Actually, I think a registry would be a great idea. Maybe a project for me to take on when I get my server farm up and running... Hmmm

Tried that registry thing myself a while ago...even set up a seperate website so anyone could just register their VXs.....GUESS WHAT

IT DIDN'T WORK....only had four people even interested enough to send in their info.

I dropped the whole website after about nine months
