    Rearview Camera

I just received this email from Sky Mall on a wireless color review camera and monitor they have available for only $149.99. I think I will order one and instead of using the cigarette lighter to power the monitor, I will hard wire it. Sounds like a pretty good deal for both the camera and monitor.

Check out the specs before buying one. Keep in mind that clarity, view angle, and low lighting are all important. When you're in a crowded parking lot at night, your brake lights are your only light source for the cam.

Anyway I'm personally thinking about getting camera mechanism from Japaneese version (or make a replica from it). They have a door which opens on reverse gear only thus protecting camera from the dirt.
Installing simple aftermarket camera is not a problem for southern states in US, but after the rain you will have to walk and clean camera before using it...

In Russia almost half of VX fleet are JDM. Unfortunately, most of them located in Asia part of Russia, but anyway few guys in Russian forum have JDM version, so they could make photos and measure dimensions.
