Can anyone tell me how to get my rear speaker covers off? I have a blown speaker and want to replace them. I tried but felt like I was going to damage the cover.

Hey there...
I wasn't able to remove them without taking the entire rear panel system apart. It's quite the anticlimactic experience. You finally get to the rear speakers (and covers) ONLY after everything is torn apart and you find your fingers bleeding, etc.
No joke, the rear covers are attached by its own 'tabs' that, once inserted into slots in the panel, are bent backwards holding the cover into place. The only way to get to the tabs to bend them straight (thus allowing you to remove the covers) is by getting behind the panel itself. By then, you're in the sh*t and removing the covers is moot - as you'll be able to get to the speakers by that point.

yeah, only way back there is to pull the panel off, im in the process of putting 6-1/2's back there... got the first one done today.. sounds great, and it all went back together just dandy.. but i gotta do the other side tomorrow
Bummer, a few screws in the cover could make a lot easier.
Thanks for the help.
