My TOD indicator lights are flashing intermittently on dry pavement and I can hear the TOD kick in and out. I recently purchased new front tires, same size as rear but different brand. Any input would be greatly appreciately. Thanks!

Is there a lot of tread wear in the older tires? It sounds like there might be too much discrepancy. You may try and put the new tires on the back and see if that helps. Also, make sure the tires are equally inflated.

Yes, there is considerable wear on the rear tires. I will rotate the tires and see if that will remedy the problem. Thanks Anita!
Be prepared to buy yourself two more tires if there is that much of a difference. Better the expense of more tires than repair of VX.
Yeah, when I bought my VX, all the tires had considerable wear and uneven tread. My TOD did not like it at all. Once I got new tires, it behaved much better, and better still after I changed my trans fluid and filter.

Just because the #'s are the same does not mean they are exactly the same size tire. One manufacturer may be 29.5" and another may be 29.25" with the same 245/70/16. I just looked on tirerack.com and the sizes range from 29.4" to 29.6" diameter for the 245/70/16. That is why you should have 4 tires that are the same brand and size. I would get 2 more tires. shawn

Well, it worked. No more TOD problems. Thanks for your input!
