Question Talk Me Outta This !!!

Would one of my VX brethren (or sisteren) please try & talk me outta ordering Nitto Mud Grapplers for my dubs...?

I've been thinking that 33x12.50 r 20"s would look sooooo BADAZZ on my Centerlines...(see my gallery)
I know, a lot more trimming/ hammer adjustments would be required + another inch or so of lift...but I just can't can't shake the notion of how schawinnggg they would look crawlin' around Moab come spring.

This is probably an exercise in futility, but fire away...any & all opinions welcome.

    Thanx all.

PS. Anyone in the market for 4 LIGHTLY used (maybe 6000 mi.) Hankook Ventus 265/50 r 20" (again, see my gallery) make me an offer.

Nah, ya need to getcha some Yokohama GeoLandar MT+ meats on those Centerlines. Directional, grippy as all heck on asphalt and anything else you'll roll over!

    OH THAT HELPED !...

I've looked real hard at the Yoko's Joe & like em' a lot...BUT, I'm really in lust with the more agressive side lugz on the Nittos.

I do appreciate the input though.

    sorry...

    Sorry dub...

I've been told I'm an 'enabler' - so I won't be of any help.

What ever you do, do not *not* get these...

    damn. there i go again...

I'm with the Nitto choice. When I was exploring tires I ran across those Mud Grapplers and said that this was THE TIRE! But I was thinking I should go for the Terra Grapplers since it was more "practical" and then there were the Toyo Cross Country Open Country that some suggested that were less noisy and would last longer. So I elected to go with the Terra but those Muds look just awesome.

Don't get those tires! I have heard only good things about 'em. Don't get those tires. They look so freakin' cool! Don't get those tires! They will turn your VX into this wild, crazy, wheelin' machine since you have to lift it more. Don't get those tires!
Kinda sounds like the voices in your head huh?!

LMAOPIMP(almost)...those are the EXACT voices in my head...& I'm tryin' really hard to ignore them...unlike the voices that tell me to mount forward 50's on my fenders to "R I P" through traffic...tough decision...there's only so much fundage ya know.

    go for it

Ldub, definitely do it! Those look awesome, and make sure and let everyone know exactly what it requires because I am sure more people will follow in your footsteps... Oh wait sorry I forgot, we are pretending to not like the idea right? Ok yeah I have heard nothing but awesome things about Nitto's and that they last forever even in exteme conditions so they probably will be a "bad" investment... And you might feel bad for being too intimidating on the road causing granny's to buy surplus Depends and teenagers in low riders to stop drooling and get outta your way! But yeah sounds terrible like a nightmare... Or the best halloween present for yourself ever..... I mean no terrible idea... sorry, I have been thinking the same thing about the Nitto's for me, but I keep on wanting to go with 22's and 33" tires or 24's with 33" tires, but then off roading wouldn't be as sweet, so 20's with these might be perfect.. I mean perfectly terrible...

You're NOT doing a very good job of talking me outta this...& I appreciate that.

And I must say, I'm no trail-blazer here...I'm following in the rather large footsteps of JoFotoz (ck his gal.) & woohoo (he wheeled w/ us @ Moab w/ dubs...way more nicer than c-lines) & there are probably others that I can't remember @ this time(sorry). But yeah...the thought of "grannys" having to double up on the depends kind of appeals to me.
As for the "lowriderz"...I wouldn't know, ya just don't see many where the winter conditions include -30 +or- & lots-o snow...works for me !
As for 22's or 24's...you're right...they'd look cule as all get out, but...the first tight rock obstacle you encounter.....bye-bye bead flange...I'm even thinking 20's might be a little "sparse" in the sidewall protection dept.
But for cryin' out loud...what price can you actually put on freacn' KOOL ???

Sincere thx 2 all 4 the input.

lol my opinion? get some 15 or 16inch rims to put your terra's on...then some snow/all weather tires for your 20' rims...thats my plan and it sounds practical and fun =)...
those tires are badazz looking by the way, i love em...either those or the MTR's...
    GO FOR IT!!!!!

    Dub,

Having a VX and not indulging your passions is like sending me to the buffet without a helmet. It just ain't right. I say get two sets and use four of them in your living room as end tables.

    Wait.....I meant don't do it.
